The traditional wind tunnel test is usually static test,that is,the test model is not driven.To study the influence of turboprop aircraft,especially the propeller slipstream,the dynamic test must be carried out,which is power simulation of propeller in wind tunnel test.Compared to the traditional drive motor,the turboprop power simulator can be used in wind tunnel as motive power of propeller with its small volume,high energy density and power output,which is very significant in application.The design of air turbine is the core in turboprop simulator design.To meet the needs of turboprop power simulator development,the preliminary aerodynamic design of air turbine in a 200 kW power simulator was completed in this paper.The main work can be summarized as follows:a)Carryed out numerical verification to a six stage axial flow air turbine of France by applying NUMECA,and compare the influence of grid density and turbulence model on the calculation accuracy.The results show that NUMECA can accurately simulate the inner flow field of micro axial flow turbine with S-A turbulence model and the grid density of 140 thousand nodes in single stage,which can ensure the accuracy of numerical calculation and reflect its air motion characteristics.b)Carryed out one dimensional aerodynamic design,two-dimensional aerodynamic design and three-dimensional blade modeling with parameter correction and optimization.c)Carryed out numerical simulation of this air turbine by using NUMECA software,while verifying that goals are met.Finally,the calculated results are compared with experimental parameters of the reference air turbine,and the flow field characteristics of air turbine are analyzed in the setting environment and working conditions.
