With the rapid rise of global temperature, the frequency of extreme weather events has increased significantly, especially heavy rains, floods, frosts and other disasters are more frequent, resulting in numerous impacts and losses. Therefore, based on the frost observation data from1961 to 2010 in Shanxi Province, this paper focuses on the analysis of the spatial and temporal distribution characteristics of frost disasters in Shanxi Province, and puts forward effective prevention and control measures against the impact of frost disasters on crops. The results showed that:(1)From 1961 to 2010,the average first frost day appeared on Oct.7 in Shanxi Province, and showed a "five-step" distribution from south to north. The spatial distribution of the first frost day appeared earlier in the East and north, and later in the South and west. The average last frost day appeared on April 12,and its spatial distribution characteristics were as follows: the average in most parts of northern Shanxi Province. The final frost days were earlier in the east than in the west, while the average final frost days in the South and the middle of Shanxi were earlier in the West than in the east;the average frost-free period was 177.7 days, and the spatial distribution of the final frost days showed the characteristics of Long South and short north.Generally speaking, the interannual variation of the last frost day is greater than that of the first frost day,and the interannual variation of the frost-free period is greater than that of the last frost day.(2)In most areas of Shanxi Province, the first frost day showed a more obvious positive trend, indicating that the first frost day was delayed. However, some areas in south-central Shanxi and southern Shanxi showed a negative trend, indicating that the first frost day showed an advance trend. The first frost break occurred mainly in 1976-1997 years.(3)Most areas in Shanxi Province showed a negative trend of change in the final frost days, indicating that the final frost days had an advance trend, and the northern and central and eastern regions of Shanxi had the largest advance;the central and western regions and southern regions of Shanxi showed a positive trend of change, indicating that the final frost days had been delayed. The mutation time of the last frost appeared mainly in 1975-1996 years.(4)The frost-free period in Shanxi Province showed obvious positive trend change characteristics, indicating that the frost-free period showed a gradual increasing trend;the frost-free period in southeastern Yuncheng, most of Jincheng, western Xinzhou and southern Luliang showed a certain negative trend change, representing that the frost-free period in these areas had decreased.Less.(5)Frost disaster can cause serious frost damage to crops, which not only affects the quality of crops, but also leads to yield reduction and even crop failure. Therefore, effective measures must be taken to reduce the impact of frost disaster on crops to the greatest extent, such as strengthening the awareness of disaster prevention, carrying out prevention ahead of time, rational layout, scientific cultivation, doing a good job in field management, watering and heating, doing a good job in fumigation, covering and insulation. In order to provide a certain reference for agricultural production in Shanxi Province, and at the same time for the economic development and progress of the region play a certain role in promoting.
