With the rapid development of bioinformatics, some applied technologies involving information are widely used in the fungal taxonomy. At the same time, the mathematical statistics methods also play the important roles in the study of fungal taxonomy. In this paper,68 species and varieties of Amanitaceae are analyzed. We choose 13 morphological characteristics included the veil remnants on surface of cap, color of volva, shape of volva, color of gill, width of central trama, hyphae diameter of central trama, cystite of central trama, thickness of subhymenium, basidium, length of basidium sterigma, basidiospore, value of Q,thickness of pileus skin.Through image processing technology, some nonquantitative characteristics of the species and varieties such as color would be assigned values of image grey processing with Matlab for further mathematical statistics analysis. All of the data would be performed based on grey correlation analysis to obtain the correlation coefficient matrix, correlation difference matrix, difference distance matrix and the grey similarity relation matrix. The correlation of the species and varieties can be determined with the grey similarity relation matrix. And the principal component analysis is used for analysis of the species and varieties with the morphological characteristics. From the scorecards of the principal components analysis, the influence of morphological characteristics to the species and varieties is obviously when the eigenvalues are greater than 1 and the accumulated variance contribution is greater than 80%.And the results of clustering analysis to 68 species and varieties with the sum of squares of deviations are consistent with the mentioned results. It shows that the research of the grey correlation analysis are consistent with the taxonomy of Amanita 7 groups.Through the principal component analysis, the influence of the morphological characteristics to the species and varieties is shown intuitively.
