3D geological model is a kind of entity involving large area,large data,and complex structure.Improving the visual analysis capabilities of the 3D geological model can help the geological staffs grasping the overall situation of the geology even better.Based on the thinking of this problem,in this paper,the visualization analysis methods and applications of complex geological model are studied to strengthen the visual interaction ability and quantitative analysis ability of geological body.The 3D Geological visualize Space Analysis Technology involves many subjects,such as mathematics,computer science,earth science and so on,and includes three main parts: underground geological objects 3D modeling,visual interaction technology and geological body visualization analysis technology.In this paper,based on fully investigation of the geological analysis services as well as the demand of visualization analysis of geological body,the study is carried out from two main aspects: visualize analysis methods for geological body and the development technology of 3D visualization software.In addition,a visual analysis instance platform is designed and established with South Yellow Sea geological data,which is used to validate the feasibility of the method described in this paper.The main work is as follows:(1)Based on fully investigation of the geological analysis services,the geological analysis requirements are determined,including the analysis objects and analysis content,the visual interaction requirements,and the visualization forms of results.(2)According to the determined analysis object,in-depth study on well analysis,geological structure analysis and attribute analysis is carried out.Aiming at the well models in geological model,the multi-scale wellbore analysis and drilling prediction method are studied.In the analysis of the geological structure,this paper studies methods for uplift/concave identification,stratigraphic thickness analysis,fault analysis and area/volume calculation.In the field of attribute analysis,the geological statistical analysis algorithm,grey correlation analysis algorithm,spatial location based clustering analysis algorithm,and support vector machine regression analysis algorithm are studied.(3)Based on the characteristics of geological model,this paper proposes a stratigraphic based spatial index search method to improve the speed and accuracy of data acquiring process.(4)According to the requirements of 3D geological model visual interaction and visual expression,the key technologies of software development based on OpenInventor is studied.Through the ray picking-up method,the semantics based scene locating method,the color rendering method,event callback mechanism and Filtering Cells filter,the expression force of the visual analysis results as well as the visual interaction ability of the platform is enhanced.(5)The south yellow sea data is taken into use in the instantiate researches.The software platform achieves in realizing the function of visual geological analysis,and the feasibility of methods and technologies in this paper are verified.
