To alleviate the environment pollution caused by fossil fuel,human beings have kept trying to explore renewable and cleaner energy.The data show that marine covers about 70%area of earth.As a treasure pool,marine has gained attention from all over the world.Marine wave has constant current,clean and efficient characteristics,if properly used,can effectively relieve the energy shortage problem.(1)Completed the overall structure design of the marine current generating device.Firstly,the paper analyzed energy conversion mechanism of marine current generating device and collected the hydrological characteristics data of the Laotieshan water channel in the Bohai Strait,then the scheme of using horizontal axis current power generating device is determined.Secondly,the paper proposed the symmetrical arrangement multi-stage impeller scheme to balance the quality of the device and to disperse axis thrust.This can help to improve generating efficiency.Thirdly,the paper proposed to utilize fairing to improve device performance.The hydrodynamic performance of the three different types of fairing impeller analyzed by numerical simulation software and the faring structure parameters were determined.Next,the blade airfoil impeller produced based on Bezier curve.The blade line equation impeller deduced and the marine current generating device blade design software impeller compiled.By analyzing five different blade parameters,the best blade parameter impeller determined.Finally,according to the design requirements,the impeller parameters of the marine current generating device were designed and calculated.(2)The paper analyzed device hydrodynamic characteristics.Firstly,the device working performance impeller analyzed by simulation software,which verified the feasibility of using fairing to improve the power generating efficiency.Secondly,the CFD calculation method impeller used to compare and analyze the hydrodynamic characteristics of single stage impeller,double stage impeller and the three stage impeller device at different rotationalspeeds.Then verified the feasibility of the secondary impeller scheme and determined the optimal speed.Finally,the paper summarized the relationship between the impeller axial spacing and power generation efficiency,then obtained the best arrangement of the impeller.(3)The paper selected the device support structure and analyzed its stability.Firstly,the advantages and disadvantages of the commonly used supporting structure were compared,and then triangular supporting scheme was selected.Secondly,the structural parameters of the support frame were calculated based on the stability design principle.FLUENT software was adopted to finish load calculation.Finally,using ANSYS Workbench analyzed the supporting structure condition under marine pressure pre-load,which verified the device stability.
