Laser ranging technology,as a high-precision long-distance measurement method with simple principle,convenient installation and strong anti-interference ability,has not only received extensive attention in the field of national defense and military,but also plays an important role in the field of people's livelihood.However,in the work areas where military reconnaissance,resource exploration,and geographic mapping are more complicated,if the size of the ranging system is too large,it will cause inconvenience to the users and increase labor intensity.Therefore,research and design of a distance measurement system with high integration and miniaturization performance can meet the needs of people's convenient carrying and improve the flexibility of system use.By analyzing and comparing the working mechanism of different ranging methods,the phase ranging method with higher precision in the medium and long range is selected.Aiming at the contradiction between the measurement distance and the improved ranging accuracy of the system,the multi-measurement technique is adopted;the principle of the difference frequency phase is selected to ensure the difficulty of the subsequent signal conditioning circuit while ensuring the phase difference of the signal is unchanged;The automatic digital phase measurement method simplifies the system structure and facilitates system integration miniaturization.And then a set of overall design scheme based on ARM is proposed.The hardware system including ARM-based main control module,laser modulation and transmission module,laser receiving and conditioning module function circuit is designed,and the related software development based on ARM is completed.The laser diode and APD suitable for system design requirements were selected,and the analysis and design of hardware circuits such as laser modulation,transmission,reception,conditioning and waveform conversion were completed.The hardware circuit design of DDS signal generation based on AD9959 chip was realized and developed ARM-based driver;completed the software design of phase difference detection,the software design of the overall ranging program and the collection and display of ranging signals.Through the experiment,the functional test of each module hardware circuit was completed.The ranging experiment platform was built,and the range,accuracy and stability performance test of the ranging system was completed,and the system was measured within the range of 0.200m-30.000 m.The maximum error is within ?20mm,and 50 repetitive experiments are randomly selected at the distance of the short-range,medium-range and remote phases in the ranging range to verify the reliability of the system ranging function;The analysis of the ranging performance of the system in measuring different targets is completed.
