Research On Capacity Planning Of Instant Logistics Platform

In recent years,the rapid development of instant logistics,emerged Meituan? Hema?Xindada?Dianwoda and many other instant logistics platforms.The core characteristic of instant logistics lies in its immediacy.In order to meet customers' demands for speedy and timely distribution,the instant logistics platform needs scientific allocation of capacity resources.Instant logistics platform capacity planning refers to determining the number of self-owned distribution staff employed by the platform and third-party distribution staff contracted with third-party capacity platforms.Capacity planning is the key to managing capacity.Reasonable capacity planning and efficient capacity dispatch can balance the key demands of platforms,users and distribution staff,reduce the cost of instant logistics systems,improve the quality of instant logistics services,and promote the sustainable and healthy development of instant logistics.The capacity planning of the existing instant logistics platform is mainly determined by experience or trial and error,which leads to high logistics cost and uneven service quality,and restricts the healthy development of the instant logistics platform.From the point of view of the instant logistics platform,this paper studies the capacity planning problem.The research goal is to provide a scientific method to determine the capacity planning of the instant logistics platform.On the basis of systematically combing the domestic and foreign research literature,the paper firstly analyses the development status of the instant logistics platform,especially the key links of the instant logistics platform,such as the mode of capacity planning,the mode of capacity dispatching and the strategy of capacity dispatching,and points out that capacity planning is the key decision affecting the cost of capacity and the quality of service of the instant logistics platform.Secondly,this paper analyses the calculation methods of manpower cost,penalty cost for abnormal orders and service quality of distribution,constructs a multi-objective integer programming model which takes into account both capacity cost and service quality,and designs a heuristic method to solve the problem based on the characteristics of self-owned distribution staff,third-party distribution staff and crowdsourcing distribution staff,and obtains a solution of capacity planning that meets the requirements of service quality.Finally,using the model and method of this paper to conduct a case study on the capacity planning of HM instant logistics platform,and obtain the optimal capacity planning to meet different service quality.By comparing and analyzing the difference between the proposed scheme and the existing HM scheme and the influence of service quality on the capacity cost,it is found that the number of self-owned distribution staff is reduced by more than 70%;the capacity cost is reduced by 45.8% at most and 44.4% at least;and the capacity cost increases from 2134 to 21665.5 with the service score of measuring service quality rising from 86 to 90,cost increases gradually;the use rate of self-owned distribution staff increases,and the per capita volume of completed orders increases from more than 30 to more than 60;the key to capacity planning is to determine the number of third-party distribution staff reasonably.The results of this study can also be applied to other instant logistics platforms.
