Bearing is widely used in various fields and is one of the most widely used parts in industrial equipment.The inner and outer rings of bearings will bear greater contact stress when they work.Contact fatigue caused by cyclic contact stress is the main form of bearing failure.Among them,material failure under microscopic conditions has been considered as one of the main failure modes of bearing contact fatigue.It is of great significance to study bearing contact fatigue by using finite element method.In this paper,based on Voronoi finite element method(VFEM),according to the contact relationship between bearing rolling element and raceway,an elastic half-space finite element model of contact between bearing rolling element and raceway is established on ANSYS platform,and the characteristics of polycrystalline material of bearing material under microscopic conditions are simulated.Combining L-P theory with damage mechanics,a damage mechanics contact model of bearing is established.By introducing the damage variable into the material stress-strain constitutive relation,the progressive damage accumulation of the material in the model is realized,and the deterioration process of bearing material before the crack appears is simulated.The internal crack model of the structure is established,and the damage element is calculated by damage mechanics model.According to the internal crack characteristics of the bearing structure,the finite element mesh with micro-cracks is established at the damage element.The contact element is added to the generated crack surface to simulate the physical characteristics of the cracks in the bearing structure.Based on the damage mechanics model,the internal crack propagation model of bearing structure was established,and the mechanism of crack initiation,propagation,pitting and spalling was explored.The stress and strain in the process of crack propagation are calculated,and the crack initiation,crack propagation life,crack propagation path and energy released during crack propagation are obtained.The research contents can provide new ideas and tools for the study of contact fatigue damage of bearings.
