Photonic crystal fiber appears as a new type of optical fiber in recent decades.With the deepening of research on graphene materials,various fiber devices based on graphene and photonic crystal fiber have been extensively studied,such as the graphene fiber laser,the graphene fiber modulator,and the graphene fiber sensor.There are many periodic air holes in the cladding of the graphene photonic crystal fiber,so the fusion of the graphene fiber device becomes a technical difficulty.In this paper,finite element method is used to study the thermodynamic characteristics of the fiber,aiming at exploring the welding conditions of graphene photonic crystal fibers.The main research work is as follows:Firstly,based on reading a large amount of literature,the devices made out of graphene and optic fiber are introduced.Then the thermodynamic characteristics of graphene and the application of thermodynamic characteristics are summarized in detail in this paper.Besides,the finite element principle and simulation process are studied.Secondly,the temperature field distribution of three-layer air hole photonic crystal fiber structure combined graphene under the action of carbon dioxide heat shock is studied.The effects of the laser power,the heating time,the graphene layers and positions on the heat conduction of graphene photonic crystal fiber were analyzed.Besides,the fusion method was explored according to the thermal stability of graphene.Thirdly,the stress of the air holes in the graphene photonic crystal fiber under different temperature fields are analyzed.The influence of different power and heating time effect is calculated,and the deformation tendency of the air hole under the optimal welding condition is verified.Lastly,the thermodynamic characteristics of two graphene photonic crystal fibers is analyzed.By establishing the heat transfer model and mechanical model of graphene electro-absorption modulator and graphene phase modulator,the optimal welding conditions of the two graphene photonic crystal fiber modulators are found.
