Incremental Update Of Multi-scale Spatial Databases By Volunteered Geographic Information

With the development of geographic information,users have a higher demand for products of the geographic information.Updating of authoritative data efficiently using high timely data(such as VGI)is becoming a more demanding requirement.Meanwhile,the rise of crowdsourcing and volunteer geographic information(VGI)provides a high availability and high timely data for the collection,update and application of geospatial data.In the paper,VGI data is used as the data source for updating series scale data,and the incremental updating of series scale data is studied.Main contents of the paper are as following:1.Two modes,snapshot-based and event-driven,using VGI data as data update source are discussed.Limited to the current situation of VGI data application,snapshotbased mode is adopted to obtain data update information through change detection.2.The construction method of multiple representation databases for series scale data is studied,and the multiple representation databases is expanded.In this paper,label relaxation method is used for data matching,and the vertical relationship between adjacent scale data is constructed,and the vertical relationship is analyzed to extract the historical generalization knowledge from the original data and expand the multiple representation databases.3.An incremental updating framework for multiple representation databases is proposed.The incremental updating of multiple representation databases is guided by the knowledge of historical generalization,and many problems in the process of automatic updating of multiple representation databases(cartographic generalization,chain reaction,etc.)are solved.This study shows that:(1)the feasibility of using VGI data as a high timely data updating source.(2)The historical generalization knowledge contained in the vertical relationship of adjacent scales is an effective extension of multiple representation database,and plays a guiding role in the incremental updating of multiple representation database.(3)In this paper,an incremental updating framework of multiple representation database is proposed,which can update data efficiently and obtain high quality results.
