Shaobohu area is located at the southern end of Subei Basin and the top of Yangtze River Delta Plain,which is the key planning and construction area of the 13 th Five-Year Plan.Controlled by the Wuxi-Suqian fault zone and hydrodynamic conditions,there are three different geomorphological units and two sets of sedimentary strata in the region.In order to find out the engineering geological characteristics of the main rock and soil mass in this area,the physical and mechanical properties of different rock and soil formations are analyzed and the weak strata which may cause engineering geological problems are found out.Based on the latest survey data of quaternary geology and engineering geology in this area,the distribution and characteristics of Quaternary strata,the quaternary rock and soil mass and their engineering properties are analyzed and studied in combination with the results of engineering geological test and analysis.The results show that the main stratigraphic unit in the study area is the plain of gaoyou depression at the core of the Tianchang uplift stratigraphic unit.The geomorphologic types from west to east can be divided into three different engineering geological regions,namely,the low-gentle hillock area,the lacustrine deposit and the high floodplain plain.Engineering geology area of low gentle hillock,engineering geological area of lake sedimentary plain and engineering geology area of high flood plain;According to the engineering survey results of different engineering geological regions,the quaternary borehole data and the results of laboratory geotechnical tests show that there are mainly special soil layers such as expansive soil,silt clay and silty sand clay interlayer in this area.And the combination of different rock and soil is complex.By analyzing the engineering geological characteristics of the main rock and soil in different engineering geological regions in the study area,the engineering geological strata under different geomorphological units are further divided,and its rationality is verified by the discretization of physical and mechanical parameters.Thus,the standard values of cohesive force and internal friction angle of different engineering geological strata in the study area are put forward.Finally,through the quantitative evaluation of the standard values of the bearing capacity of each layer,four weak engineering geological layers are screened out.In turn,I-3-1,? a-1-2,? b-1-1,? b-3-1.The combinatorial relationship of engineering geological formations in different engineering geological regions is analyzed,And the possible engineering geological problems are summarized,And the feasible solutions suitable for the study area are put forward.
