In current oilfield operation areas,there have been clear exploration and development directions for large oil-bearing reservoirs.However,thin interbeds and thin reservoirs still exist in most of the developed oilfield work areas.In this context,exploration and development of thin layers inevitably bring forward higher requirements on seismic processing and interpretation.VSP(Vertical Seismic Profile)technology can be used as an important technology for fine exploration and development due to its advantages of the preservation of more high-frequency information,small seismic wave energy loss,higher resolution along with higher signal-to-noise ratio.This paper mainly introduces a VSP constrained sparse pulse inversion method based on high-precision VSP data.For the data acquired by the eight-azimuth walkaway VSP in a work area of Bohai Gulf,key parameters such as wavelet and sparse pulse factor are optimized and analyzed.A quality control method of 3D seismic-VSP joint seismic inversion is established.Additionally,a set of technical workflow suitable for VSP inversion is proposed.In practical applications,a good inversion result based on VSP data is obtained and finer thin layer is accurately described.This result satisfies the needs of development seismic and is of great practical significance for solving exploration difficulties such as exploiting thin interbedded reservoirs.
