Vector hydrophone is light weight,simple,low cost and easy to carry.With the development of modern science and technology,vector hydrophone plays an important role in underwater acoustic engineering.Among them,the research of DOA estimation is the key content of vector hydrophone array.As a kind of bionic search algorithm,intelligent optimization algorithm has more and more advantages in engineering practice.Therefore,it is a good method to estimate DOA of vector hydrophone array with optimization algorithm.Aiming at the DOA(Direction of Arrival)estimation of vector hydrophone array,this paper studies the improvement of music algorithm and optimization algorithm,and verifies the superiority of the proposed method in estimation performance and error probability through experiments.The main work of this paper is as follows:(1)The DOA estimation of vector hydrophone array based on gold-MUSIC algorithm is proposed.Based on the golden section idea,the DOA estimation is realized by searching the peaks of the array spectrum with large and small sampling intervals.Simulation results show that this method is superior to the traditional music algorithm in terms of convergence,resolution,complexity and error probability;(2)The DOA estimation of vector hydrophone array based on WOA-ML algorithm is proposed.Based on the principle of whale optimization algorithm(WOA)and maximum likelihood estimation(ML),this paper explores the DOA estimation of WOA-ML algorithm in vector hydrophone array is studied.Finally,the error probability,convergence and DOA estimation performance under different SNR and snapshot number are analyzed through simulation experiments,which verifies the feasibility and superiority of WOA-ML algorithm.In this paper,gold-MUSIC algorithm and WOA-ML algorithm are proposed to estimatethe DOA of vector hydrophone array.The algorithm has superior performance and provides a new method for DOA estimation of vector hydrophone array.
