The south-central region of Guangxi belongs to the humid and hot climate area,which is characterized by sufficient sunshine,abundant rainfall,high temperature and high humidity in summer.Under such climate conditions,the ancients made the traditional buildings still able to obtain a good microclimate environment through their adaptation to climate.The patio is one of the structures used to regulate the microclimate in traditional buildings,which can play a role in ventilation,heat dissipation,lighting and rainwater collectionIn this paper,the patio space in the traditional enclosed buildings in the southern region of Guangxi is taken as the object,and the relationship between the scale change of the patio space and the effect of adjusting the micro-climate environment of the traditional buildings is studied through the methods of measurement and mathematical deduction.Combined with relevant standards,the reasonable range of patio space scale that can satisfy the comfort of human living space is calculated to provide reference for the construction of modern new villages and towns in this areaFirstly,taking the traditional architectural patio space in south-central Guangxi under the humid and hot climate as the object,combining with literature research,this paper analyzes the common forms,construction techniques and adjustment principles of patio space in this region.In addition,relevant studies at home and abroad were sorted out to determine the relevant physical parameters affecting the microclimate environment of the patio space and the evaluation criteria used in this study to evaluate the impact of building thermal environment.Then,traditional buildings in central and southern Guangxi were selected as objects,and detailed survey plans were made based on relevant theoretical basis,and the microclimate environment of the selected objects was measured in the typical summer climate season Based on the analysis of the measured data,the moderating effect of the spatial scale change of the patio on the microclimate environment of the building and its correlation were studied According to the analysis results of the measured data,it is speculated that the microclimate improvement effect of the hall space is better when the patio scale is between 1:1 and 2:1 in the south-central region of GuangxiFinally,computer simulation software is used to simulate and verify the results obtained from the field measurement analysis,and through adjusting the patio spatial scale,the optimal patio scale range for the micro-climate adjustment effect in traditional buildings in the southern region of Guangxi is concluded.According to the analysis of simulation results,in the south-central region of Guangxi,a good effect of microclimate regulation can be achieved when the ratio of height to width of building patios is 1.5:1?2:1 and close to 1.5:1.
