The maintenance of engineering structure is a difficult problem that will challenge the South China Sea islands in the future.It is of great practical significance to scientifically co-ordinate scientific resources so as to ensure that the project better serves the overall political,economic,diplomatic and military situation of our country.In this paper,AHP group decision-making method is used to analyze and study the structural maintenance demands of the South China Sea Islands Project,and priority evaluation of the structural maintenance demands of the Project is carried out by synthesizing the opinions of many experts in related fields.The main work of this paper is as follows:(1)On the basis of extensive literature analysis,combined with on-the-spot investigation and collected expert opinions,it was determined that the structural maintenance of the South China Sea Islands Project should focus on four aspects: durability,engineering geological conditions of coral reefs,structural stability of island hydraulic fill layer and cofferdam,the influence of extreme loads.(2)Establish the initial framework of the index system,improve and determine the structural maintenance demands evaluation system of the South China Sea Islands Project through two rounds of Delphi expert consultation,including seven schemes and five criteria;(3)Five AHP group decision-making calculation methods are used to process the expert decision-making information obtained from the third round of questionnaires,and the final group decision-making conclusion is obtained.The results show that " durability of main building materials" and " comprehensive protection technology of islands and reefs" are the most important two schemes.The conclusions of this paper can provide reference for the related researching on the structural maintenance of the island project in the next stage.The index system established in this paper can also be used as a reference for the analysis of structural maintenance requirements in other similar severe environments.The AHP group decision-making calculation method-result aggregation and method-process aggregation adopted in this paper are improvements and innovations based on the existing literature,which can promote the application of AHP in group decision-making problems.
