Comparison Of Bird Diversity Between Mangshan And Xuefengshan In Hunan Province Based On Infrared Camera

In order to further understand the bird resources,distribution and diversity of the different degrees of protection,from December 2016 to August 2019,60 sites were selected respectively in Mangshan National Nature Reserve and Xuefengshan County Nature Reserve and surrounding areas of Hunan Province,and their bird resources were investigated with infrared camera.Based on the data collected by the infrared camera,the kernel density of the daily activity rhythm of the terrestrial birds in the two places was analyzed by using MATLAB,and the feasibility of a new method of community similarity calculation was discussed.The main results are as follows.1.In Mangshan,45590 capture days have been investigated,and 978 independent and effective photos of birds have been taken,including 8 orders,18 families and 37 species of birds.Among them,the yellows bellied pheasant and elliot's pheasant are national first-class protected animals;Grey owl,crested eagle,Japanese sparrow hawk and silver pheasant are two national protected animals.A total of 4174 capture days have been investigated in Xuefengshan.1 221 independent and effective photos of birds have been taken.There are 6 orders,13 families and 28 species of birds,among which golden eagle and elliot's pheasant are national first-class protected animals Five species of gray forest owl,snake eagle,silver pheasant,golden pheasant and spoon chicken are national second-level protected animals.2.Using MATLAB to successfully perform the kernel density analysis on the activity rhythms of the white pheasant in Mangshan,the white pheasant in Golden Mountain and the red-bellied golden pheasant.Comparison of the three activity modes,all of them are diurnal animals.Activity time starts in the morning and ends in the sunset.The mode of activity of white pheasant in Mangshan is bimodal,with peak hours at 10:00 am and 16:00 pm;The white pheasant and golden-bellied pheasant on the Xuefeng Mountain are unimodal.The activity peak of white pheasant was 10:00 in the morning and the peak of golden-bellied pheasant was 17:00 in the afternoon.It is believed that the overlap of ecological niche and the competition between species lead to the differentiation of activity time distribution.Using the program to calculate the overlap coefficient of different activity rhythm curves.The overlap coefficient of white pheasant activity in different areas is 0.906,and overlap coefficient of white pheasant and golden-bellied pheasant on Xuefengshan plot is 0.813.3.With reference to the calculation method of forest community similarity SI,the similarity coefficients of bird communities among the 6 plots set in this survey were tested.It was found that the discrimination degree of the community similarity coefficient accorded with the differences between plots.The community similarity between the two plots in Mangshan Nature Reserve is very high(98%),however,the similarity between the bird community of Tangfang sample plot on the edge of the reserve and the two sample plots in the reserve is slightly lower,and the similarity coefficient is lower than 90%.The situation of the Xuefengshan Reserve is complicated.There is no obvious difference between the three plots,and the similarity between the three plots is also about 95%.The similarity coefficients between the plots of the two different nature reserve were lower than 80%.In this study,the calculation method is more differentiated,and the differences shown are in line with the expected.
