The rock slope contains many structural planes with different structure,occurrence and characteristics,which leads to the complexity and difficulty of stability analysis.In this paper,based on the discrete element strength reduction method,the stability of the rock slope was systematically studied by using UDEC numerical simulation software.The main contents include:(1)With the combination of UDEC and strength reduction,a slope stability safety factor calculation method based on displacement mutation was proposed,and the abrupt change point of strength reduction factor-displacement diagram was taken as the critical point of instability,so as to obtain the slope stability safety factor.By using three sets of slope examples,the stability and safety factors of the slope are calculated by using displacement mutation method and UDEC built-in force ratio criterion method,which verifies the feasibility of the self-programming of displacement mutation method.(2)Based on the reliability of the program,analyzing the parameters of the rock slope with two parallel joints,the influence of various parameters(calculation time step,element size,element types,elastic mechanical parameters and joint shear stiffness)on the calculation accuracy of slope stability safety factor was studied,it is of great guiding significance to the reasonable selection of calculation parameters.(3)Based on the two-dimension fissure network building technology of Monte Carlo method,using FISH language to write random joint network simulation program,the complex fracture rock slope model is established,and using the displacement mutation method to analyze the slope stability,get the potential sliding surface of slope and its stability safety coefficient,the stability evaluation of complex fractured rock slope is realized.(4)Applying the above research results in the stability evaluation of the Bench slope of W?-1 area in the west of Donggou molybdenum mine.Based on the random joint generation technique of Monte Carlo method and the measured joint data,atwo-dimensional complex fracture rock slope model was constructed,and the displacement abrupt change method is used to simulate the stability of the slope in dry and saturated state.
