Nearly half of the recoverable reserves of global oil and gas resources are located in carbonate reservoirs, which also play an important role in China's oil and gas resources.Carbonate reservoirs are generally buried deep in the stratum, resulting in low quality of seismic data collected. At the same time, the sedimentary characteristics of the reservoir are complex and the gas-water relationship is changeable, which brings great difficulties to the prediction of carbonate reservoirs.Traditional post-stack seismic inversion can not effectively predict reservoirs, and the multi-solution of inversion results is serious.Aiming at the carbonate reservoirs of Feixianguan Formation and Changxing Formation in Puguang Gas Field, this paper studies the prediction methods of carbonate reservoirs. In order to improve the quality of seismic data, empirical mode decomposition method is studied and applied to seismic data processing.High signal-to-noise ratio and high resolution seismic data are obtained.Because the sedimentary lithology of Feixianguan Formation and Changxing Formation is different, the low frequency background of the two sets of layers is different,so it is necessary to invert them separately.Carbonate reservoirs in the study area are predicted by post-stack non-linear inversion method and pre-stack three-parameter fluid detection method. On the basis of lithologic reservoirs obtained by post-stack inversion and fluid detection results, reservoirs are delicately characterized, and good results are obtained, which confirms the application potential of the method.
