| The Ningwu-Jingle Basin which is between the Ordos stable terrane and the active part of eastern North China is located in the northwestern of Shanxi Province. At the same time,it is surrounded by some important Uplifts and Orogenic Belts, which resulted in that the tectonic position of Ningwu-Jingle Basin is very particular. In this paper,we mainly study the fault characteristics, uplifting stages, tectonic evolution and the relationship between the tectonic evolution of Ningwu-Jingle Basin and the destruction of North China craton with some methods including field investigation,low-temperature thermochronology and the stress fields reflected by joints etc.Through the above researches,we mainly draw the following conclusions: 1)The fault system of Ningwu-Jingle Basin is divided into four fault systems: the inverted fault system in the eastern margin of the basin, the reverse fault system in the eastern margin of the basin, the reverse fault system in the western margin of the basin and the Cenozoic fault system;2)Based on the structural characteristics of the basin, the dating data of low-temperature thermochronology and the regional geological background of Ningwu-Jingle Basin, the tectonic evolution of the Ningwu-Jingle Basin since the Mesozoic Era is divided into four stages: the main sedimentary period of the basin(252-163 Ma),the strong deformation period of the basin(163-145Ma),the tectonic inversion period of the basin(145-109Ma)and the basin uplift period(since 109Ma).According to the dating data, thermal history simulation and the previous researches,we divide the basin uplift period into three main stages: the rapid uplift stage at the late Yanshan tectonic movement(109-53Ma),the slow uplift stage at the early Cenozoic(53-20Ma)and the accelerated uplift stage at the Himalayan tectonic movement(since 20Ma);3)Through the analysis of the tectonic evolution of Ningwu-Jingle Basin and the characteristics of the destruction of North China craton,it is concluded that the tectonic evolution of Ningwu-Jingle Basin is related to the destruction of North China craton and the tectonic evolution of Ningwu-Jingle Basin is the shallow geological response of the destruction of North China Craton. |
