With the implementation of the western development strategy,the construction of special red clay area in Guangxi is increasing.At the same time,the development of industry and the increase of motor vehicles have greatly increased the demand for diesel fuel.As a result,diesel fuel leakage incidents have occurred now and then.Non-aqueous non-polar diesel is different from rainfall and groundwater,which will have a certain impact on red clay's engineering properties,when comes into its pores.The study of the effect of diesel oil on the mechanical properties of red clay is of great significance to the construction of red clay distribution area and the disaster prevention and mitigation.In this paper,taking the Guilin remolded red clay as the research object,the 0#diesel oil as additive,by indoor direct shear test,triaxial test,standard consolidation test and micro scanning electron microscope,studied the effect of diesel oil on the strength,compression properties and microstructure of red clay,and the strength properties of red clay under diesel and water coupling,the compression properties under diesel,water and air environment and the microstructural features under different diesel pollution degree were obtained,and the microcosmic mechanism of the change of its mechanical properties was clarified.Specific conclusions are as follows:?1?In the soil-water-oil system,the effect of diesel oil is affected by pore water and pore ratio,and is also related to the content of diesel oil.The external load and the initial dry density affect the relative content of diesel oil and water in the pores by changing the void ratio of red clay,and then affect the mechanical and microscopic properties of red clay;?2?The variation law of the strength of the red clay polluted by diesel oil obtained by the direct shear test is the same as that obtained by the triaxial test.The increase of the proportion of diesel oil will increase the strength of red clay.With the increase of oil content,when the water content is 20%,the strength index of red clay changes reversely,and when the water content is 25%,the internal friction angle decreases and the cohesion increases,and when the water content is 30%,the internal friction angle and cohesion both decrease;?3?When the initial dry density is 1.25g/cm3,the red clay in the oil environment is difficult to be compressed and when the initial dry density is 1.35g/cm3,the opposite is true.However,when the initial dry density is 1.45g/cm3,it shows the different rules when the pressure is different:in the small pressure range,the red clay in the oil environment is not easy to be compressed,and the law of the large pressure range is opposite.The red clay in the air environment is easier to be compressed than the other environments.With the change of diesel oil,water and air environment,a1-2 value increases;?4?SEM images show that the red clay particles tend to aggregate with the increase of diesel oil content,and the phenomena of"lipid"and"wax"become more and more obvious."Micro-occurrence State Model of Diesel in Red Clay"established according to the change of diesel oil content,clarify the microscopic mechanism of the effect of diesel oil on the mechanical properties of red clay from 3 oil scales.
