With the rapid development of modern weather forecast operation,automatic analyse and identify of meteorological elements have gradually become a research hotspot in atmospheric science.In order to improve the level of automation of weather chart analysis,aiming at the current situation that less research and slow progress about automatic trough line analysis has been made,this paper proposes a method about automatic analysis and correction of trough lines based on elements fusion.The main contents of the paper are as follows:(1)Introducing the basic theory of meteorological trough line analysis,including basic definition,formation cause classification and so on,summarizing the empirical criterions of manual analysis of trough line,then proposing the main idea about automatic analysis and correction of trough line based on element fusion.Furthermore,the relevant criterions of manual analysis of trough lines have been integrated into the idea.(2)Aiming at the problem that the existing automatic analysis method of trough line are largely affected by the isoline tracking results,which may leads to the low efficiency and accuracy of analysis,an automatic analysis method based on curvature tracking is proposed.The curvature value of grid points are directly calculated by the potential height data,according to the curvature value,the grid points are classified and the candidate trough points are extracted from them.Then,tracking and connecting reasonable trough points which are selected from candidate trough points.Finally,the results of the automatic analysis of trough lines are obtained after the post-processing step.The experimental results showed that the method can effectively analyse and trough lines automatically,and the accuracy and running speed have been improved comparing with some previous method.(3)Aiming at that current automatic analysis of trough lines are all based on a single data field,which may lead error or loss analysis,a trough line correction method fusing wind field element is proposed.It is firstly to extract feature points using wind field data,and decide the correction type of trough lines based on these wind field feature points.Then,according to the different correction types,clustering and fitting methods,or Laplacian meshing deforming are used to conduct additional or corrected analysis on potential height field trough lines.The results of contrastive experiments showed that,the accuracy of trough line analysis has been further improved.
