Laser ranging technology is a technology that uses laser to detect distance,and is one of the commonly used ranging technologies.In recent years,with the increase of living demand,the use scope of laser rangefinder has been continuously expanded,involving many fields such as agriculture,industry,service industry and so on,especially in the field of aerospace.The development of industry and the progress of science and technology also promote the continuous innovation of laser ranging technology,making ranging performance more superior.According to the application requirements of long-distance ranging,this paper firstly introduces the research status of laser ranging technology at home and abroad in detail,discusses the realization methods of laser ranging,and analyzes and compares various methods.Compared with other wave bands,near infrared laser represented by 1064 nm wave band has the characteristics of more photons,high atmospheric transmittance,high laser power and the like under the same single pulse energy,which is beneficial to the identification of echo signals in remote ranging.For this reason,aiming at the common problems of remote laser ranging in detection efficiency,sensitivity and ranging accuracy,system volume and power consumption constraints,this paper selects 1064 nm solid-state laser and InGaAs/InP single photon detector as the main devices,builds a laser ranging system for remote measurement based on photon counting technology,and describes in detail the functions of each component unit of the system,device selection and circuit module design.In order to eliminate the influence of noise such as solar background light on ranging performance,this paper comprehensively uses range gating,spectral filtering,spatial filtering,signal correlation processing and other technologies to effectively improve the ranging capability of the system from both hardware and software aspects.After the structural parameters of the ranging system are determined,the ranging performance of the system is numerically analyzed and calculated,and its theoretical ranging capability is obtained.Finally,a set of long-distance ranging experimental platform is set up and used to carry out long-distance ranging experimental research.The experimental results show that the actual ranging capability of the system is consistent with the theoretical analysis results.When the target reflectivity is 0.1,the maximum measurable distance of the system is 51.598 km,the ranging accuracy is 5.97 m,the detection probability is 99.99%,and the false alarm rate is 0.366%.
