Rotation angle measurement is an urgent need in the satellite receiver of the trajectory correction ammunition.One of these technologies is utilizing a single-patch antenna mounted on the side of the projectile.The single-patch antenna rotates with the vehicle.As a result,the received signals are periodically discontinuous.We can get the vehicle's rotation angle with these signals which was modulated by the projectile's rotation.However,the synchronization of bits and frames cannot be implemented.Therefore,the transmission time of satellite signals cannot be obtained.The conventional positioning method will be useless.Besides,in the measurement of the rotation angle,we must overcome the noise interference and real-time problems.This paper mainly studies two problems: the first one is looking for a positioning method without synchronization of bits and frames.The second one is getting the roll angle of the vehicle with periodically discontinuous satellite signals.Fisrtly,we analyzed the characteristics of the signals received by single-patch antenna and the response of the tracking loop with these signals.Then,we get the valid observations in the tracking loop and build a positioning model with these measurements.Besides,we took an experiment to verify the algorithm.It showed that the positioning method could satisfy the needs though the precision was a little larger than the conventional positioning method with continuous signals.In the measurement of rotation angle with periodically discontinuous signals,we proposed a method which is a tracking loop with second-order phase lock loop assisted by first-order frequency lock loop.With it,we could get the rotation angle when there was not a good estimaton of the rotation speed.In addition,we did a hardware in the loop simulation with rotary table and we got the rotation angle in time.Besides,more satellites will improve the accuracy of the measurement.
