Landslide is one of the most common and widespread geological disasters which can cause great damage.With the rapid development of economy,the impact on natural environment caused by all kinds of engineering activities has become increasingly serious,even lead to the frequent occurrence of landslide disasters and enormous life and property losses.Therefore,the use of scientific and effective survey techniques to identify the specific conditions of landslide areas and provide relevant guidance for the prevention and control of landslides is of great significance.This paper introduces the engineering geological characteristics of landslides,describes the classification of landslides,their constituent elements,the causes of geological disasters,geophysical properties,and geophysical models of landslides.This paper introduces the basic principles of several common geophysical exploration methods,summarizes the characteristics of each method,and explains the selection of relevant parameters that are important in practical work and the geological anomaly characteristics of each method.Based on the geology of work area and geophysical characteristics,this paper has selected the high-density resistivity method,Rayleigh wave method and seismic imaging method to do study and application in the landslide area.The high-density resistivity can be used to qualitatively illustrate the depth of an interface by using the difference of electrical property of underground medium.Rayleigh wave method has a higher resolution on shallow layer.Seismic imaging method can use wave impedance contrasts of different stratigraphic textures and stone types to confirm the feature of landslide boundary and siding surface.Through the comprehensive analysis of the results obtained by the three geophysical methods,the thickness of the landslide,the stratigraphic structure,the landslide boundaries,etc.were determined,which are the same as the verification of the later drilling.Studies have shown that the use of integrated geophysical methods to survey landslides,as compared to conventional survey techniques,not only solves the multiple-solving problem of single geophysical survey results,improves the accuracy of results,but also has high work efficiency and relatively low costs.Therefore,in the actual survey work,according to the specific conditions of the landslide area,several suitable methods of geophysical exploration can be selected to obtain various geological information needed to complete the survey work efficiently,and at the same time provide effective treatment and scientific basis for landslide hazards in the later period.
