Research On Characteristics,Genesis And Evaluation Of Geological Heritage Landscapes In Liupanshan Area,Ningxia

Geological heritages are the physical evidence left by various internal and external forces of geological action during the long geological and historical evolution process.They not only provide strong evidence for human to understand and study the evolution of the earth,but also have great economic value.However,with the development of social economy,the imbalance of geological relics in research,protection and development is becoming more and more obvious.Problems such as the lack of investigation and research,the unclear resource status,the emphasis on development over protection,and the importance on large over minor are increasingly prominent.Therefore,it is necessary to make an in-depth investigation of the geological relics,to find out their basic conditions,and then carry out reasonable protection and development suggestions.According to the "Specification for geoheritage investigation"(DZ/T0303-2017),aided with comprehensive,systematic survey and analysis,48 geological heritage landscapes were classified into 3 major categories,including basic geology,geomorphological landscape and geological disaster,8 categories and 15 subcategories.The locational conditions and geological characteristics of these relics are described in detail.In addition,the genesis of important geological heritage landscapes and geological conditions that affect their formation were analyzed.Qualitative and quantitative evaluation of geological heritage in Liupanshan area showed that,3 geological heritage landscapes(6.3%)are ratedⅡ(national),23(47.9%)are rated Ⅲ(provincial),22(45.8%)are rated Ⅳ(Municipal).On the basis of the result,suggestions for protecting and utilizing the geological heritage landscapes were put forward,combined with surrounding cultural and natural landscapes.Furthermore,four new tourist routes were worked out,which can be titled as the Beilianchi-Long March memorial pavilion-Heshangpu section in Guyuan county,the Chenjin township route,the Hejiachuan route and the Sikouzi route.It is determined that the comprehensive endowment value of geological heritagelandscapes in Liupanshan area of Ningxia is high and can be further developed and utilized.
