The construction industry is the pillar industry for the development of China’s national economy.The rapid development of China’s economy cannot be separated from the contribution made by the construction industry.The rise of the construction industry has absorbed a large number of employed people and social resources.Its efficient operation is of great significance to the sustainable development of China’s national economy.However,due to regional differences,the management level,technical level and market environment of various provinces and cities in China are uneven,and the development of China’s construction industry presents obvious imbalance in regional space.Continued construction of regional imbalance development and expands unceasingly,hindered the pace of the construction industry sustained and stable development of our country,therefore,the system efficiency of comprehensive studies our country construction space difference change,to optimize the industrial structure,improve the efficiency of construction industry as a whole,promote the balanced development of the construction area has extremely important theory significance and practical value.The purpose of this paper is to conduct an in-depth study on the efficiency of China’s construction industry,its spatial distribution characteristics and the variation trend of the spatial difference of the efficiency of the construction industry based on the selected evaluation methods,the established evaluation model and the efficiency evaluation index system.The main research contents and results are as follows:(1)Firstly,this paper defines the subject of the study by summarizing the relevant research literature on the efficiency of construction industry at home and abroad,and then compares and selects the evaluation methods in combination with the characteristics and development status of the construction industry.Finally,the envelopment analysis method of DEA data is selected and elaborated with emphasis.(2)Secondly,according to the research purpose and selected evaluation method of the paper,the construction industry efficiency evaluation model is constructed,and the primary index system is established according to the selection principle of the index system and the analysis of the internal influencing factors of the development of China’s construction industry.Then the SPSS regression analysis method is used to screen the primary index system and establish a systematic and comprehensive efficiency evaluation index system.(3)and then,according to the established evaluation index system from 2008 to 2018,the China statistical yearbook and construction statistics yearbook collect input and output data,to construction in our country as the research object,selected as observation period2008-2018,using DEA-VRS model respectively from three regions and provinces and cities nationwide,features in three dimensions of construction efficiency were analyzed quantitatively estimates,from macroscopic to microcosmic Angle reflects the construction status of input and output in our country.Then,on the basis of the calculated results,cluster analysis,convergence and convergence are used to further analyze the variation trend ofthe spatial difference of efficiency in China’s construction industry from the three directions of spatial characteristic distribution,variation system and convergence.The research results show that the overall efficiency of China’s construction industry is not high at present.Under the circumstance that the scale efficiency is generally high,the main reason for the low comprehensive efficiency level of the construction industry is that the pure technical efficiency does not reach the effective level.The comprehensive efficiency in the eastern region is significantly higher than that in the central and western regions.Significant convergence was observed in the whole country and the central and westernregions,with the change of construction efficiency tending to be stable and the gap decreasing.The eastern region did not pass the absolute convergence,while the western region did notpass the conditional convergence test.(4)finally,the article according to the efficiency of construction space difference analysis of the measured results,according to the national,the east and Midwest three level,respectively from the adjustment of industrial structure,standardize the construction market,steadily push forward the urbanization process,promote the balanced development of the construction area,improve the level of science and technology,construction technology,set up information platform,improve the level of modernization construction four aspects,proposed the construction efficiency,promote the construction of regional balanced development Suggestions,provide decision-making basis for managers.
