Slope failure is a progressive failure process, but the traditional method of slope stability analysis is not enough to accurately describe the failure process of slope. The failure of slope is not a whole failure at the same time, but a gradual failure process from a local point to a surface failure and finally from the surface failure to the formation of landslide. Therefore,it is necessary to study the slope stability, stress and strain. In this paper, the most unstable slope at the foot of the slope, the distribution of stress and strain and the distribution of cohesion are analyzed by theoretical solution calculation,so as to judge whether the slope is in a stable state. This paper mainly studies from the following aspects:(1)This paper reviews the development of slope stability analysis methods at home and abroad, and points out the shortcomings of traditional methods of slope stability analysis: Swedish arc method, simplified Bishop method,Janbu method, transfer coefficient method,Sarma method, wedge method,Fellenius method, unbalanced thrust method and finite element strength reduction method, which is the foreshadowing of theoretical solution.(2)This paper introduces the theory of progressive failure of slope and the study of stability evaluation. It points out that the failure process of slope is a progressive failure process, that is,the failure of slope does not occur at the same time as the whole, but the failure of slope starts from the local failure, starts from one point, and then expands point by point to form the failure of landslide surface. The landslide surface and landslide surface are connected with each other and finally develop The progressive failure process of large-scale landslide is caused by the failure of landslide mass. The study of the progressive failure theory of slope can help us have a deeper understanding of the slope, understand the failure mechanism and failure type of the slope, and lay a solid foundation for the calculation of the subsequent theoretical solution.(3)This paper introduces the theoretical solution, which is a method to calculate the slope stability, mainly from the solution ideas and steps of this method.(4)According to the study of slope stability,a theoretical solution method based on boundary condition and equilibrium equation is proposed. This method can analyze the distribution of stress and strain of slope and the maximum cohesion at the toe of slope, and get the position of the most unstable slope at the toe of slope, which lays a solid foundation for the timely protection of landslide.(5)When analyzing the slope stability, based on the theoretical solution, combined with the rendering map generated by rhinoceros(rhinoceros software),the stress, strain and the size and distribution of cohesion of the slope model can be viewed intuitively, and then the slope stability can be judged.(6)Through theoretical calculation,it can be found that by solving the coefficient of stress expression in the slope model, the distribution of in-situ stress and the influence of in-situ stress on cohesion at the slope toe can be studied,so as to analyze the influence of in-situ stress on slope stability.
