The Geological,Geochemical,Geophysical Characteristics And Metallogenic Prospect Analysis Of The Southern Maorentaolegai Gold Deposit In Ejin Banner,Inner Mongolia

The Southern Maorentaolegai gold deposit is located in the western part of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.It is located in the Beishan Paleozoic orogenic belt,the Hongshishan Paleozoic active continental margin,the Yuanbaoshan Paleozoic island arc and the Ordovician back-arc basin in Honggeer Mountain.The strata exposed in the study area are mainly the Paleozoic Ordovician Saltwater Lake Formation and the Lower Cretaceous Bayin Gobi Formation.The magmatic rocks are mainly the early Permian biotite monzogranite and early Permian diorite.The main direction of the regional tectonic line is NW.Fault structures are well developed,and most of them are filled with quartz vein.In the Southern Maorentaolegai gold deposit,gold mineralized in the early Permian monzonitic granite and outer contact zone of ordovician Saltwater Lake Formation metamorphic siltstone.The orebearing rock is fractured quartz vein and tectonic breccia(local).The ore-controlling structures are mainly NW and NE concordant tectonic fractures in metamorphic siltstone.The mineralized body is trending in NW and dipping to SE.The alteration types mainly include limonization,pyritization,silicification,sericitization,carbonatization,etc.Two gold orebodies and one gold mineralized body were found in the study area.Based on the comprehensive analysis of geological,geophysical and geochemical characteristics of the region and the study area,the metallogenic geological background and ore-controlling factors in this area are studied on the basis of known mineralized bodies.The distribution rules of mineral resources are summarized,the ore-prospecting model is preliminarily established.Three ore-prospecting areas are delineated.Finally,it is concluded that the area and its surroundings have a great potential for gold polymetallic ore prospecting.
