Research On Scientific Thought And Scientific Contribution Of Luo Hongxian,the Top Scholar In Ming Dynasty

Jinshi scientists,a special group,are the complex product of Chinese traditional culture and the historical microcosm of the integration of humanism and Confucianism with natural science,it is of typical research value to the development process of ancient Chinese science and technology.Luo hongxian,the number one scholar in Ming dynasty,was further selected as the research object by a number of jinshi scientists.Luo hongxian's scientific thoughts and scientific contributions were analyzed from the perspective of the history of science and technology,and the causes of his scientific activities and scientific thoughts were systematically explained in combination with the historical background of luo hongxian.Luo hongxian's geographical achievements "Broad Map" and other scientific contributions that had not been paid attention to were re-evaluated.Through the exploration of luo hongxian's scientific activities,scientific contributions and scientific thoughts,this paper analyzes the dialectical relationship between Confucianism and science behind the characteristics of Confucianism in ancient science and technology,and then criticizes and inherits the historical scientific and cultural tradition,and actively seeks for the enlightenment of modern science and technology civilization.This article mainly includes the following aspects: First,from the perspective of the history of science and technology,the scientific development of luo hongxian,the number one scholar of the Ming dynasty,was sorted out comprehensively,including his family history,life history,and friends and teachers' activities with him.A relatively complete chronology of the events of luo hongxian was compiled,and the life trajectory of luo hongxian was summarized.Second,excavating and refining the scientific thoughts of luo hongxian,such as diligent thinking,good at exploration and respect for objective reality,summarizes his scientific attitude and thoughts of seeking truth and simplicity,and explores the spiritual core of luo hongxian's scientific behavior by combining his personal writings and other people's comments.Third,Analyzed and summarized the creation reason,reference materials,edition,drawing content,drawing method,creation process of luo hongxian's map and its far-reaching influence on China and foreign countries.Fouth,Summarizing luo hongxian's other scientific contributions,including the "sundial theory",latitude and longitude,and the understanding of "daylight on a monthly basis".Make a comprehensive historical assessment of luo hongxian from the vertical dimension of history and the horizontal dimension of sino-western cultural exchanges,and affirm the important value of luo hongxian in the history of science and technology.The ancient Chinese traditional culture is highly inclusive of science.Science and humanities complement each other.The soil of traditional culture is also an important force for the birth of scientific fruits.The traditional Chinese science is based on the eastern scientific system of the unity of man and nature,which is in harmony with the western scientific paradigm.Luo Hongxian is a special phenomenon in Confucian culture of the ancient Chinese,but is by no means,combining Luo Hongxian scientific thought and scientific activities,view and dialectical discussion Confucianism and imperial examinations and interactive relationship of ancient science,critically inheritancing traditionality of ancient science and technology,in today's society to develop comprehensive talent of liberal arts and repairing.
