Cassava is main raw material for etnanol production. Process of ethanol fermentationfrom cassava with different concentration of total initial sugar was investigated in thisthesis in order to expand application of cassava and provide a basis for efficient ethanolproduction form cassava.Changes of fermentation parameters durin the ethanol fermentation from cassavawith different concentration of total initial sugar by shake flask under batch conditionwere studied.The results showed that strain GGFS16cultured in cassava with total sugarat concentrations of183.75g/L?220.63g/L?253.75g/L?298.75g/L?338.75g/L,respectively gavethe maximum total sugar consumption rates with the values of13.88g/L/h?11.67g/L/h?11.5g/L/h?11.67g/L/h?11.46g/L/h, respectively and the maximum ethanol productivites withthe values of6.31g/L/h?5.92g/L/h?4.99g/L/h?6.57g/L/h?6.32g/L/h?respectively and thefermentation efficiencies were75.17%?81.14%?88.49%?84.72%?75.85%, the bestconcentration of initial sugar was253.75g/L by shake flask.based on the shake flask, theconcentration of total initial sugar by5litre tank fermentation were217.45g/L?254.75g/L?293.5g/L, respectively gave the maximum total sugar consumption rates with the values of12.29g/L/h?13.08g/L/h?12.62g/L/h, respectively and the maximum ethanol productivites withthe values of5.91g/L/h?6.05g/L/h?4.87g/L/h, respectively and the fermentation efficiencieswere84.50%?89.10%?87.33%.Changes of fermentation parameters durin the ethanol fermentation from liquefactionfiltrate of cassava powder with different concentration of total initial sugar by shake flaskunder batch condition were studied.The results showed that strain GGFS16cultured incassava with total sugar at concentrations of180.97g/L?217.48g/L?256.56g/L?295.58g/L?336.53g/L,respectively gave the maximum total sugar consumption rates with the values of14.48g/L/h?13.90g/L/h?12.50g/L/h?11.32g/L/h?11.30g/L/h, respectively and the maximumethanol productivites with the values of6.90g/L/h?6.31g/L/h?5.65g/L/h?4.73g/L/h?5.13g/L/h?respectively and the fermentation efficiencies were80.20%?87.33%?89.67%?86.98%?78.92%,the best concentration of initial sugar was256.56g/L by shake flask.based on the shakeflask, the concentration of total initial sugar by5litre tank fermentation were216.40/L?251.67g/L?292.57g/L, respectively gave the maximum total sugar consumption rates with thevalues of13.34g/L/h?12.05g/L/h?11.83g/L/h, respectively and the maximum ethanolproductivites with the values of6.58g/L/h?5.92g/L/h?5.26g/L/h, respectively and thefermentation efficiencies were87.76%?90.19%?88.41%. The best concentration of initial sugar by different culture mediums was the same as260g/L. comparison with shake flask and5litre tank fermentation by different culturemediums,the fermentation efficiencies of5litre tank fermentation was better. Influencesof biochemical components with different culture mediums was YEPD?liquefactionfiltrate of cassava powder?cassava.
