In recent years, carbon fiber in composite materials has become the one of the most important enhancement body and holds an important place in every field of society because of its Carbon Fiber(CF)has a high modulus, corrosion resistance, creep resistance, conductivity and a series of excellent physical and chemical properties. But the surface shows chemical inertness, difficult to well with resin matrix, largely limits its wider application. So you need to modified carbon fiber to increase the bonding strength between the fiber and resin. In this paper,we use the graphene oxide(GO)nanoparticles, which has a large number of functional groups,by physical coating and the methods of chemical grafting modification on carbon fiber to improve the performance of composite material interface effect. The carbon fibers was characterized by fourier infrared spectroscopy(FTIR),X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS),Raman spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy. The surface tension and tensile strength of carbon fibers were investigated by measuring the Dynamic Contact Angle(DCA),infiltration test and single fiber tensile strength. The interfacial shear strength of carbon fiber/PA6 composites was measured by micro-debonding method,in order to investigate the effect of surface modification by coating and chemical grafting.Through infrared spectral characterization of the GO/APA6 hybrid resin,GO/PA6 blend resin, proves that the GO and APA6 form chemical bonds. In the surface of carbon fiber coated with different concentrations of GO/APA6,found that the concentration at 5%,the best modification result is gained.the interfacial shear strength is the largest, compared with untreated carbon fiber improved by 29.5%.The mass fraction of 0.5%of GO/APA6,GO/PA6,PA6 formic acid solution were applied to the surface of the carbon fiber, found that when coated with GO/APA6,the IFSS of composite reaches the maximum, compared with untreated carbon fiber increased by 20%.In order to further study on the impact of chemical grafting on the performance of carbon fiber and composite material, graphene oxide is grafted chemically onto the carbon fiber surface. The XPS analysis of carbon fiber surfaces shows that the increase of oxygen-containing functional groups on the surface of the carbon fiber grafted modified, meanwhile the functional groups of the surface of carbon fiber are changed. At the same time, single tensile strength of the modified carbon fiber than that of untreated carbon fiber 5%?7%drop,it indicated that there is little damage on the surface of the carbon fiber. After grafting APA6 and GO/APA6 IFSS of carbon fiber composites were 46.7 MPa,49.8 MPa,than after desizing carbon fiber increased by 23.2%and 31.4%respectively.
