With the continuous development of manufacturing technology,electrical discharge machining has developed into a widely used special processing method.Based on the results of the current research in the field of EDM,the form and characteristics of space in plasma current discharge channels,the paper analyzes the moving trajectory and the changing trend of charged particles in the discharge channel.According to the electromagnetic field theory,the discharge channel model is established,and the form and the variation of the magnetic field of the discharge channel given parameters are further explored by the finite element method.In order to increase and decrease the magnetic field of the discharge channel,the micro electro-discharge-machining deposition is realized as a means to study the characteristics of the discharge channel assisted magnetic field.The design idea of the magnetic field of the hollow electromagnetic coil arranged around the discharge channel which is the same as the magnetic field of the discharge channel is presented,and the theoretical calculation of the structure parameters is carried out.A weak magnetic field measuring device based on Hall Effect is developed and the correctness of theory calculation is verified.Through theoretical analysis and simulation analysis,the form and the size of the magnetic field generated by magnetic field generator are analyzed.The matching problem of the magnetic field of the discharge channel given parameters and magnetic field generator is studied.In view of the characteristics of micro EDM deposition,the experimental platform of micro EDM deposition machining is designed and built.We conducted a number of technology experiments of micro EDM deposition The experimental results are compared with the experimental parameters,the influence of external magnetic field on the deposition process is summarized.The results show that under the same discharge energy,the diameter of the deposition point with weakened external magnetic field is significantly smaller than that of the enhanced external magnetic field.At the same time,the effect of the edge of the deposit is obviously decreased.The results show that the magnetic field can better constrain the motion of charged particles in the discharge channel,and the discharge energy is more concentrated,thus verifying the validity of the external magnetic field structure,form and function.
