The paper learns from the existing research on mining polyurethane as a new blasting hole blocking material.Because the material is organic polymer,it may have chemical change under the high temperature condition while blasting. The paper is aimed at qualitatively and quantitatively analyzing the flue gas produced by blasting after using this new material to block the blasting hole and further confirming the possibility of being an excellent blocking material for blasting hole, which may optimizing the blasting engineering and the overall construction process. It has formed the most suitable material formula of mining polyurethane for blocking the blasting hole through existing test and research. And the product produced using that formula can reach all the performance indicators for blocking. The paper used this mining polyurethane for further research.Use TGA-FTIR technology to have qualitative analysis of the flue gas produced by the material varying with temperature, then determine the toxic and harmful gas.The material mainly generates the gas of CO and CO2 based on the FTIR spectra,in addition, there are NO2,alkanes,alkenes,aromatic compounds and chlorinated organic compounds generated.Under different temperature condition,CO which is a typical toxic gas is the primary product of the material according to the qualitative result. So take CO as the main research object, using SP-3420A Gas Chromatograph to have quantitative analysis of CO after the blocking material fully reacted under high temperature.Through conversion and calculation,it is obtained that per gram of the mining polyurethane will generate 3.10 milligram of CO,whose volume is 0.00248 Liter in standard condition. For the toxic gas of CO generated from the blocking material, take the method of ventilation in underground blasting engineering to reduce its concentration to the safety threshold. The paper has provide the calculation method of the dilution, and give an example of the general situation, that is to say,if 50 blasting holes of 42mm are distributed on a 10~15 square meters coalface, after blasting, the ventilation rates of diluting the CO generated by the blocking material is 0.7%of the amount of the dilution for the blasting. The ventilation equipments can totally meet the requirements.Based on the conclusions above,as a new kind of blasting hole blocking material, mining polyurethane is of good application value. The paper provides useful references for its better promotion.
