In this study,Thermoplastic Starch(TPS)was melt-blended and composite-foamed with Poly(butylene adipate-co-terethphlate)(PBAT)and Azodicarbonamide(AC).The influence of foaming agent and TPS contents on the foaming,the mixing foaming effect was systematically investigated.Relatively low foam density(pf)values at about 0.49 g/cm3 was found for Ecoflex98.5AC1.5 specimens,Tensile strength(?f)and elongation at break(?f)is up to 15.6 Mpa/480.0%.After melt-blending with TPS.the pf values of[(TPS100CA0.1)xEy]98.5ACi.5 specimens increased gradually and still remained at relatively low values(0.49-0.67 g/cm3)as their TPS contents are equal to or less than 20 wt%.The pf values of each[(TPS100CA0.1)20E80]xACy series specimens reach a minimum value as their AC contents approach the optimum values range 1.5wt%,the foam samples foam density of the minimum value of 0.67 g/cm.?f and ?f value with the increase of the content of the AC rapid decline slightly.But when the the AC content exceeds an optimum value,the tensile nature of[(TPS100CA0.1)20E80]xACy series foam sample showed obviously a sharp decline.In order to discuss the system fun foam samples and tensile in nature,the sample heat,melt index and cross-sectional patterns analysis in this article is a detailed analysis and discussion.
