Environmental pollution and energy issues that we face today are one of the biggest challenges in the world.Emitting dying?agriculture,medicine,life effluents are the main reason of environmental pollution problems.In these effluents,there are a lot of harmful and toxic substances.The sewage treatment by traditional can not achieve the purpose of the elimination,but also cause secondary pollution.Then finding an effective solution to solve the environmental pollution is one of the most important tasks.Since the 1970s,people found semiconductor material TiO2 which can achieve hydrogen from water by photocatalytic,it brings the photocatalytic of semiconductor material to biology,chemistry,physics field and become one of the most active research projects.Semiconductor photocatalysis is non-toxic,easy to operate,easy to control,and no secondary pollution than the traditional treatment.The catalyst is recycling,the light source is sunlight which is inexhaustible.In the paper,there was a brief introduction about the nanomaterials,such as the research background,the development status,the classification and the characteristics.Furthermore,we did an introduction about the nanomaterials as catalysts in detail,such as the application in real life,the factors of influencing the photocatalytic reaction rate,the advantages and the disadvantages of the nanomaterials as the photocatalysts,and so on.In the paper,We followed the synthesis method of the laboratory brother.Ethanol and ethylenediamine were selected as the reaction solvents,the nanorod structure CdS is one-dimensional nanomaterial,who is synthetized by the solvothermal method,and we studied its photocatalytic properties.There are some dye with a strong absorption peak in the visible range,then we substituted methyl blue?Acid Red B and Rhodamine B for the contaminants,observed the colour and discussed the degradation effect under the sunlight radiation.As we known,Rhodamine B was a food additive in the past.After a biological experimental with the mice,people found that there was a sarcoma under the subcutaneous tissues.From then on Rhodamine B was limited usage in our life.In the experimental,we study the photocatalytic properties of cadmium sulfide by the degradation effect from several aspects:first,the different pH and different illumination intensity.Second,the different temperature.Third,compared the degradation effect by cadmium sulfide after filtrating and before filtrating.Fourth,the same dye in different mass of cadmium sulfide.Fifth,different time periods of the day.Sixth,the same mass of cadmium sulfide in different concentration of the dye.Seventh,how many times the cadmium sulfide reused and what the recovery methods were.
