Waterproof breathable fabrics can be used in specific water pressure condition,and the water can not penetrate into the inner fabric,while the sweat vapor from human body can pass through the fabric to the outside smoothly.So,it has a good wearing comfort and application performance and has a better waterproof property at the same time.Waterproof breathable fabrics is playing an important role in in many fields,such as sports and leisure clothing,aviation clothing,air force pilots clothing,sailors clothing,Navy special forces protection clothing,and multifunctional medical protective clothing.In addition,it can be used as automotive interior clothing,seat cushion,ceiling,labor protective clothing and electronic industries.Ordinary waterproof breathable fabric mainly make by high-density,coating and laminating method to prepare,they are expensive and difficult to have better waterproof and breathable at the same time.In this paper,the PU adhesive is sprayed on polyester fabric surface by electrospinning,and then PVDF nanofibrous membrane is sprayed uniformly on the surface of polyester fabric.PVDF is a good waterproof material,and the PVDF nanofibrous membrane has smaller aperture and high porosity which makes the composite fabric has a good air permeability and waterproof property.The electrostatic spraying has overcome shortcomings existed in the traditional coating,laminating or high density fabrics,and successfully prepare composite fabric with good waterproof breathable properties.The main work and achievements in this paper are shown as follows:1.In order to overcome the preparation and performance deficiencies in the traditional waterproof breathable material,the wet curing glue is sprayed onto the polyester fabric,and the PVDF nanofibers is prepared by electrospinning on them to form new waterproof breathable composite fabric,the composite membrane has good waterproof performance.2.This paper prepared micro-nanometer PVDF fiber membrane by electrospinning,the PVDF membrane with different fiber diameters are prepared by changing the mixed solvent ratio of DMF/Acetone and the concentration of PVDF solution.When the ratio of DMF/Acetone was 4:6 and the mass percentage of PVDF was 12 wt%,the uniform nanometer fiber membrane can be prepared and it has a better waterproof and breathable performance.The tensile strength and elongation of PVDF nanofiber membrane increases with the increasing of thickness of the PVDF nanofiber membrane,however,the permeability rate reduces.The contact angle decreases with increasing of the fiber diameter.3.We compare the difference between the electrostatic spraying and coating process on the effect of fabric waterproof breathable performance.The permeability of fabric decreased significantly by spraying,it may be because of the fabric is covered with a layer of adhesive,while the permeability of polyester fabric change a little when use electrostatic spraying technology,it is mainly because of that the adhesive has a punctate or fiber distribution on the surface of cloth by using electrostatic spray.4.After spraying adhesive on the polyester fabric surface by electrostatic,the PVDF nanofibrous membrane is electrospun on them,and the ratio of DMF/Acetone 4:6 and concentration of PVDF solution 12 wt%are used.The PVDF nano film and electrostatic spraying has a small effect on the air permeability and tensile strength of composite fabric,however,the its moisture-resistence lever is 4,so the composite fabric has a good waterproof performance.In this paper,the prepared PVDF nanofibrous membrane complex fabric has a good waterproof breathable performance,however,the spraying process should be perfected to improve the uniformity.At the same time,the average diameter of PVDF fibers are larger than 1 micron,we should improve the spinning process in future work and prepare the real PVDF nanofibers,which may has a more excellent waterproof performance.
