To alleviate the shortage of water resources and water environmental pollution,Electro-sorption deionization technology treatment saline wastewater become the research hotspot,the preparation of the excellent electrode materials is the key technology in the study.In this article the goods activated carbon fiber was selected as the base material,for the purpose of improving the specific surface area and increasing the double ionization layer capacity,the activated carbon fiber on water washing,pickling pretreatment?HNO3?H3PO4 and HF?activation and the further loading Al2O3 technology were studied.The surface structure characteristics were tested by the analysis methods of BET,SEM,XRD,XPS,FTIR and TG,the electrochemical performance examination of Al2O3/ACF electrode was investigated by CV curve.The main harvests of research are as follows:Determination the specific surface area,pore parameters and adsorption performance of the different thickness activated carbon fiber were determined,when thickness of activated carbon fiber is 2mm,the specific surface area is the biggest and the adsorption performance is the best.It was comparatively studied that the influence on surface morphology,specific surface area,pore structure,surface functional groups and adsorption performance of the activated carbon fiber is affected by 4 kinds of activation methods:water washing,acid pickling of HNO3,H3PO4 and HF.The results show that water washing has a little influence on the pore structure.Quantity of surface acidic groups is increased by acid activation.Activated carbon fiber surface is etched by HNO3 activation.The adsorption capacity for the iodine and phenol small moleculars is improved significantly by the method of H3PO4 activation,the specific surface area was improved by25.00%.Ability of HF activation to ash is the best;for the determination of the processing of NaCl simulated brine,H3PO4 activation is the best method.Activated carbon fiber with H3PO4 activation was loaded Al2O3 to modify by aluminum nitrate solution dipping calcination method,impact of the aluminum nitrate concentration,impregnation ratio and calcination temperature on the specific surface area and the electrochemical performance of Al2O3/ACF electrode material were studied,and its structural characteristics,element type and phase change were analyzed.The results show that the specific surface area of activated carbon fiber electrode material loaded Al2O3 is decreased,the calcination temperature is the main influence factor,the optimal load conditions is the aluminum nitrate concentrations of 20 g/L,the impregnation ratio of 1:1,calcination temperature of 500?,Al2O3/ACF electrode material is prepared under this condition,and the specific surface area is 974.59 m2/g,aperture is 2.039 nm,and the specific capacitance is 98 F/g.Test and analysis show that Al-O group appeared on the surface of Al2O3/ACF material,Al2O3 with amorphous forms existed in the surface of activated carbon fiber,content of Al element is 1.06%.Electric adsorption desalination experiments are studied by the loading Al2O3 activated carbon fiber,it is found that electric double layer capacity of electrode is increased,electric adsorption performance and desalination efficiency are improved.
