This thesis consists of four chapters. The first chapter reviews the applications of gold and copper catalysts in organic synthesis;the second one focuses on gold(?)-catalyzed diketonization of alkynes and its application for the one-pot synthesis of quinoxaline derivatives; The third one deals with Cu(0)-catalyzed synthesis of indanone derivatives from o-alkynyl chalcones;the last one is conclusion and outlook of the present research work.Firstly, the physical and chemical properties of gold/copper and the development of gold/copper catalysts in organic synthesis were reviewed. And some recent examples on tandem reaction of alkynes involving gold-or copper-catalysis were reviewed. On the basis of above background, the main designing ideas for this thesis is discussed. The second chapter focuses on gold(?)-catalyzed diketonization of alkynes and its application for the one-pot synthesis of quinoxaline derivatives. The reaction has advantages of high yields, simple operation, mild reaction conditions, and broad scope for substrates. The third chapter deals with the synthesis of o-alkynyl chalcones and their application in the synthesis of indanone derivatives under the catalysis of Cu(0)/Selectfluor system. The reaction for the synthesis of indanones has advantages of the use of cheap copper catalyst, high selectivity, mild reaction conditions, and broad scope for substrates. Finally,a summary and outlook of the present research work were discussed.
