Metal-organic frameworks(MOFs)constructed from metal or metal cluster and organic linkers have emerged as one of hot research topics for their intriguing structural architectures,topologies and applications in optical sensing,catalysis,gas storage/separation and so forth.Aromatic carboxylate ligands,m-phenylenedicacrylate(H2mpda),p-phenylenediacrylate(H2ppda)and benzene-1,3,5-tri-?-acrylic acids(H3BTA)were chose as organic bridging to coordinate the transition metal or lanthanide in different conditions.Herein,12 novel MOFs of 1D,2D and 3D structures were obtained in total.We described the syntheses,characterizations and structures of the coordination polymers and the luminescent properties of some complexes.The main contents of the paper are presented as following:1.The Cd(?)/Zn(?)-complexes(1-2)were hydrothermally synthesized with the ligand H3BTA.Complex 1 was constructed from disklike heptanuclear cadmium carboxylate clusters linkered by cadmium ions to give an exceptionally complicated structure with(3,22)-connected topology.Photoluminescent properties studies indicate that the coordination polymer could sense Fe3+ ions in aqueous solution by luminescent quenching.Complex 2 was composed of the helical chains and BTA ligands to form 2D open-framework structures,which made up the 3D supramolecular structure further through physical stacking.And the channels were filled with solvent water molecules.2.A series of lanthanide-based metal-organic frameworks constructed from the aromatic dicarboxylic ligands:structures,characterizations and properties.(1)A series of 3D isostructures(Eu3+(3),Gd3+(4)and Sm3+(5))constructed from the helical rod-shaped metal-carboxylate SBUs and mpda ligands:Besides the structural analysis of these complexes,we also studied the thermal stability and fluorescence properties.We found that complex 3 has the highly selective sensing for nitrobenzene through quenching effect,which declares good advantages in fluorescence sensing detections.(2)The linear-shape ligand ppda coordinated to lanthanide metal ions to form a series of 3D isostructures(Eu3+(6),Gd3+(7),Tb3+(8)and Sm3+(9)).In this series of complexes,six ppda ligands link the binuclear metal-carboxylate SBUs and extend out to build a 3D structure,in which the hydrogen-bonding of water molecules further strengthens the skeleton.As a result,they show good thermostability properties.3.The Cd(?)/Mn(?)-MOFs were composed of the mpda/ppda dicarboxylate ligands and 2,2'-bpy molecules to form three complexes of 1D,2D,3D structures(Cd2+(10),Cd2+(11),Mn2+(12)).We describe the structures,and fluorescence properties of 10 and 11 in the article.
