Nonlinear optical materials is a very important application in the field of scientific research,national defense,military and other fields.The study shows that the proper balance of the second--order nonlinear response coefficient and the band gap in the properties possessed by the nonlinear material is the key to synthesize the second-order nonlinear material with excellent comprehensive performance.From the structural and elemental composition,most of the crystals consist of distorted tetrahedrons MQ4(M = Ga,In,Ge,Sn,Zn;Q = S,Se)without a symmetrical center,The alkali metal or alkaline earth metal cation is located in the framework gap.As the reaction generally need to be isolated from water and oxygen,the experimental method of high temperature solid state method.is often used under vacuum.According to the analysis,six compounds have been first reported in this paper.The chemical formulas are:Ba10In6Zn7S26,Ba10In6Zn7SioSe16,Ba10In6Zn7Se26,Ba10In6Mn7S26,Ba13Ih12Zn7S38,Ba10Iin2Mn11Si3O12S18.The crystal structure and properties are summarized as follows:Ba10In6X7Y26(X = Zn,Mn,Y = S,Se)crystals are tetragonal non-symmetrical center space group I-42m,all have a three-dimensional lattice-like structure of chalcopyrite.Ba10In6Zn7S26,Ba10oIn6Zn7S10Se16,Ba10In6Zn7Se26 have good infrared transmission properties,band gap is about 2.9 eV,2.6 eV,2.1 eV.Ba10In6Zn7S26 and Ba10In6Zn7S10Se16 do not fit phase-matching,with a strong nonlinear optical response,about 0.8 times and 0.7 times of AgGaS2 at size of 45-74 microns.The band gap of Ba10In6Mn7S26 is 2.4 eV.Thermal stability of Ba10In6X7S26is very strong,can be stable under 1200K.Ba13In12Zn7S38 crystal is a tetragonal I-42m non-symmetrical group,mainly composed of MS4(M = In,Zn)tetrahedron in the common skeleton of the compound[IDn12Zn7S38]26-,Ba2+ is located in the gap,good infrared transmission performance,strong infrared nonlinear effect,about half of AgGaS2,the large band gap of 3.0eV,indicating a larger laser damage threshold,below 900K can be stable.Ba10In2Mn11Si3O12S18 crystal is a cubic system of I-43m,and the In/MnQ4(Q = S,O)tetrahedron and In/MrnQ6 octahedra are connected by via angle to form a basic skeleton,can be stable blow 1400K,two optical absorption band gap,about 2.4 eV and 1.9eV,with good near infrared transmission properties.
