Based on the current situation of research and development of 8030 aluminum alloy conductor in China,this subject mainly study the effect of preparation process(such as extrusion,drawing and heat treatment)on the structure and property of this alloy.The purpose of this study is to optimize production process of 8030 aluminum alloy conductor wire by improving productivity and product quality.And then provide technical support for the production of 8030 aluminum alloy wire.The content of this study iincludes two parts:(1)the effect of extrusion process on structure and properties of the 8030 aluminum alloy and(2)the effect of drawing and annealing process of the aluminum alloy wire.The main results are as follows:The main results are as follows:(1)The surface of 8030 aluminum alloy extrusion bar,shows as bamboo shaped as the extrusion temperature higher than 420 ?.The slub distance reduced with the extrusion speed increase from 0.5 mm/s to 2.5 mm/s.When the extrusion temperature decrease to 380 ?,the bamboo shaped surface disappear with the extrusion speed in the range of 0.5?4.0mm/s.(2)When the extrusion temperature was between 380??480?and the extrusion speed was between 0.5?4.0mm/s,the conductivity of the different extrusion bars is in the range of 59.5?59.9%IACS,and the tensile strength of the different extrusion bars is in the range of 110.8?100.9 MPa.While the extrusion speed can effect the elongation of the bars in a certain degree as the extrusion temperature is 380 ?,the elongation of the bars change in the range of 37.2%?40.1%as the extrusion speed in the range of 0.5?4.0mm/s.(3)The 8030 aluminum alloy bars with different extrusion and heat treatment conditions are not ruptured during the drawing from 9.5mm to 2.8mm in diameter by 11 passes.(4)The different condition of the extrusion 8030 aluminum alloy bar can affect the final property of the drawing wires in certain degree.The conductivity,hardness,tensile strength and elongation of the wire are 58.1%IACS,87.9HV3/15,222.8MPa and 2.0%respectively,when 8030 aluminum alloy bar on the condition of extruded at 380? and with the extrusion speed of 0.5mm/s.The conductivity,hardness,tensile strength and elongation of the wire are 60.1%IACS,82.5HV3/15,221.8MPa and 2.2%respectively,when 8030 aluminum alloy bar on the condition of extruded at 380 ?,with the extrusion speed of 0.5mm/s and annealing at 400? for 2h.(5)After annealed for 2 hours,the conductivity and elongation of the drawing wire increase,the tensile strength decrease with the annealing temperature increasing from 150? to 300?.The tensile strength,elongation and electrical conductivity are 109.0MPa,25.7%,and 61.1%IACS,respectively.as the annealing temperature increasing to 300?.And further increasing the annealing temperature from 300 ? to 500 ?,the property of the wire does not change any more.(6)Base on the extrusion,drawing and heat treatment process on the property of the 8030 aluminum wire,and comprehensive consideration production efficiency and quality of the 8030 aluminum wire,an optimization preparation technology can be obtained.The optimization technology for preparation the 8030 aluminum alloy wire(with the diameter of 2.8 mm)is extrusion at 380 ? on the speed of 4.0 mm/s,followed by water cooling online.And then the extrusion bar is directly drawing to wire with the diameter of 2.8 mm.After annealing at 300? for 2 hours,the wire property can satisfy the performance index of 8030 aluminum wire.
