Tobacco is one of the most important economic crops in China.The price of tobacco and tobacco grades are regulated by the state and purchased by the state.The amount of tobacco purchased by the state is huge every year.Different grades of tobacco leaves the price gap is large,and the classification of tobacco in China still rely on manual work,tobacco grading mode eye view touch classification of slow speed and poor objectivity and high cost of grading and other defects,it has a great impact on people's enthusiasm for production and national income.Therefore,the fast,objective and low cost tobacco classification method is very necessary.In order to achieve rapid intelligent grading of tobacco leaves,a mature method based on tobacco leaf intelligent classification is studied in this paper,that is,intelligent classification of tobacco leaves is achieved based on image information of tobacco leaves.A tobacco grading system based on FPGA is designed and implemented.The specific work is as follows:1.Using the Verilog-HDL language to write software for the tobacco leaf grading system based on FPGA.The coding of each module,such as image acquisition and VGA display,SD card storage,image preprocessing,image feature extraction,grading algorithm and result output,is completed,and the function of each module is verified by simulation software Modelsim.2.Design and implement the hardware system.Based on the software module,the logic usage of the system is analyzed,and the Cyclone IV-EP4CE115 of Altera is chosen as the master chip of the whole system.According to the performance and technical indicators,the whole circuit of the grading system is designed and implemented.3.The embedded logic analyzer is used to analyze the operation results and main parameters of the system,and the grading test of tobacco leaves is carried out.The result shows the correctness of the designed software and hardware.The test results show that the system can perform the desired function of automatic tobacco classification.After testing,the grading time of a tobacco leaf is 0.3 seconds.Compared with computer operation,the design has obvious advantages in terms of power consumption,cost and time.It is a very practical tobacco leaf grading intelligent device.
