Firstly,the terpyridyl ligands 4'-(p-hydroxy phenyl)-2,2':6',2"-terpyridyl(L1),4'-(m-hydroxy phenyl)-2,2':6',2"-terpyridyl(L2),4'-(o-hydroxy phenyl)-2,2':6',2"-terpyridyl(L3)were synthesized by one pot reaction in this thesis.These terpyridyl ligands were characterized by 1H NMR and 13C NMR.Reactions between 4'-(p-hydroxy phenyl)-2,2':6',2"-terpyridyl(L1),4'-(m-hydroxy phenyl)-2,2':6',2 "-terpyridyl(L2),4'-(o-hydroxy phenyl)-2,2':6',2"-terpyridyl(L3)and several cadmium and zinc salts(chloride,bromate,formate,propionate,p-toluene sulfonate,trifluoromethylsulfonate)led to[ZnCl2L1](1),[ZnL12](p-OSO2PhCH3)2(2),[ZnCl2L2](3),[ZnBr2L2](4),[Zn(OCOC2Hs)2L2](5),[ZnCl2L3](6),[ZnBr2L3](7),[Zn(OCOPh)2L3](8),[CdCl2L3](DMF)(9),[ZnL32](SO3CF3)2(10)and[Zn(OCOH)2L3](11).Some complexes were characterized by IR,1H NMR,13C NMR,EI-MS single-crystal x-ray diffraction.Complexes 2,4,8 and 10 belong to monoclinic system and the others are triclinic system.The fluorescence properties of most of complexes were studied in solid state at room temperature.Secondly,the binding interactions between five terpyridyl compounds and bovine hemoglobin were determined by molecular docking model and fluorescent measurement.The study of molecular docking model hints that the interaction between micromolecule complexes and bovine hemoglobin is spontaneous.The hydrogen bonds,van der Waals' or hydrophobic forces play important roles in this process.An interesting phenomena is that the fluorescence of bovine hemoglobin decreases regularly with increase of concentrations of the compounds.Finally,a cryptand ligand L4 was synthesized based on a literatlre.Reaction of L4 with silver nitrate led to complexes[AgL4]·NO3·H2O(17),[AgL4]·OH·4.8H2O(18)which were characterized by IR and TG-DTA.The powder was characterized by XRD.
