Porous coordination polymers?PCPs?,a porous coordination polymer,are crystalline porous materials with periodic network structure constructed by self-assembly of metal joints and organic ligand connectors.Its interesting framework and fascinating molecular topology,as well as many excellent potential applications such as gas storage and separation,heterogeneous catalysis,fluorescence,nonlinear optics,magnetic materials and other areas have been attracting people's interest in research.As reported by many studies,the structures and properties of the complexes are affected by organic ligands,solvents,coordination modes and other factors.Following the above construction strategy,nine functional complexes were designed andsynthesizedbyusingVtypebiphenylcarboxylacidligand[3,5-di?4'-carboxylphenyl?benzoic acid?H3L?].Following the guidance of the crystal engineering molecular self-assembly's principle,these complexes were successfully synthesizedbyhydro/solvothermalmethod.[Cd3?L?2?H2O?4]·DMF?1?,[Cd2?L??SO4?2]·3?Me?2NH2?2?,[Cd?HL??H2O?]·0.5H2O?3?,[Pb2?L??NO3?]·DMF·DMA?4?,[Zn4O?L?2?NMP?2?H2O?]·2NMP·2H2O?5?,[Zn?HL??bpe?0.5]·DMF·H2O?6?,[Zn?HL??bipy?0.5]·DMF·H2O?7?,[Co6Na2?L?4?H2O?4?OH??Ac?]·?H2O??8?and[Mn?HL??H2O?]·0.5H2O?9?.Complexes 1-4 are four fluorescent materials,the organic ligand of which show different coordination patterns to give rise to different secondary building units?SBUs?.Complexes 5-7 are microporous Zn?II?-based PCPs.The gas adsorption separation and dye adsorption properties of the complexes have been tested carefully.X-ray single crystal diffraction studies show that complex 8 is a rare hexanuclear metal cluster with binuclear propeller-type SBUs.Complex 9 is a two-dimensional layered structure.It is found that both of them have antiferromagnetic coupling effects.The synthesized complexes were characterized by elemental analysis?EA?,infrared spectroscopy?IR?,X-ray powder diffraction?PXRD?and thermal stability analysis?TGA?.In addition,according to the structural characteristics of the above mentioned complexes,a systematic experimental study was tested.
