Application of ionic liquids as catalysts and substitutes solvent in organic synthesis because of their unique advantages of negligible vapor pressure they have a wide range of room temperature liquids and have good thermal and chemical stability. The single factor experiment with epichlorohydrin as substrate was carried out and the optimum reaction conditions were determined:the amount of catalyst was 0.5 mol,the reaction temperature was 70?,the initial pressure of carbon dioxide was 0.5MPa.the reaction time was 12 hours.Under these conditions, the yield of chloropropene carbonate was up to 95%,and after 7 cycles of catalyst,the1-methyl-3-ethylimidazolyl malic acid ionic liquid was synthesized.Imidazole malic acid ionic liquid,The single factor experiment with epichlorohydrin as substrate was carried out and the optimum reaction conditions were determined:the amount of catalyst was 0.8 mol,the reaction temperature was 95?,the initial pressure of carbon dioxide was 0.1 MPa.the reaction time was 13 hours.Under these conditions, the yield of chloropropene carbonate was 98%,and the catalyst still had good catalytic effect after 6 cycles.Innovative, efficient, clean, experimentally simple and environmentally friendly synthesis of carbonate from carbon dioxide and epoxide used by hydroxy acids-functionalized ionic liquids as efficient catalysts under solvent and cocatalyst-free conditions has been developed. These hydroxy acids-functionalized ionic liquids exhibit outstanding catalytic activity for the conversion of CO2 and various epoxides to cyclic carbonates. The effects of reaction parameters?the amount of catalyst on the cycloaddition,CO2 pressure, reaction time and temperature?on the catalytic activity for chloropropene carbonate synthesis from epichlorohydrin and CO2 were optimized. The catalysts could be reused at least seven times without noticeable loss of selectivity and activity.
