Not only C-F bond formation, but also selective C–F bond activation has occupied a significant research area from the viewpoint of constructing complex organic flouride.Trifluoromethylated compounds which have three equivalent C–F bond constitute possible starting materials for the synthesis of diverse fluorinated compounds by the selective C–F bonds activation.recent research on activation of CF3 group has paid more attention to the transition-metal-catalyzed selective C–F bond activation.Until now great success has been achieved with regards to selective C–F bond activation of CF3 group which attach to sp2-hybridized carbon.Despite significant progress in this field, methods for direct synthesizing complex fluorinated compounds by C–F bond activation of CF3 group are still limited, especially which attach to more inert sp3-hybridized carbon, and new approaches are still highly sought-after.Herein,we report our preliminary findings on a unique Pd-catalyzed defluorination/arylation reaction of ?-trifluoromethyl ketones, providing fluorinated-?,?-unsaturated ketones in high Z-selectivity,which would be difficult to synthesize by known methods.
