Electro-welding is an important technology in modern industry which is widely used in almost all kinds of manufacturing. However, some companies were faced with technological backwardness in electro-welding which has limited automation that might bring severe occupational hazard to workers.Diffusion fume is one kind of high-risk dust, which is broadly seen in common welding work.Diffusion fume would be suspended in upper air of the working space under the forces of organized air flows caused by welding work.Diffusion smoke cannot be discharged after inbreathed by human bodies, which means the so-caused pulmonary fibrosis cannot be radically cured, thus, the welding workers easily caught the disease of welder pneumoconiosis. In order to enhance the control of welding fume and reduce the risk of workers getting welder pneumoconiosis,it is necessary to research the diffusion of welder fume.Based on a welding plant in Mentougou District in Beijing, this article builds a geometric model that suits real situation using GAMBIT;adopts unstructured method;builds conservative equations based on computational fluid dynamics;selects Realizable k-E Model and uses SIMPLEC on value imitation research. The result of value imitation is consistent to that of on-site testing which verifies the imitation, model, and parameter selected.Diffusion laws under various working conditions can be discovered by the analyzing of imitation results. The influences of dust interval, wind speed, spreading space, and spreading methods can also be discovered.Combining enterprise management and current problems in spreading system, this article gives proposals on working space dust diffusion on space configuration, crews layout, spreading technologies, and employee management using occupational health theory and management theory.
