Nowadays,in the highly competitive global automobile manufacturing industry, people are not only require a strong performance in terms of performance, but also have an attractive appearance and full of personality. As one of the automobile manufacturing processes, the welding equipment directly determines the accuracy of the white body welding equipment and the quality of the car body.Among them, the passenger car side wall is an important part of the white body. The passenger car side wall is formed by connecting more than 100 stamping parts and thin plate parts.Resistance spot welding is the main method of car body connection. In the manufacture of body-in-white,the entire car body is connected to stampings and sheet metal parts through up to 5000 welding spots.A large number of solder joints are concentrated on the side of the body, and the residual stress and deformation of the workpiece cooling after spot welding is completed. The dimensional accuracy and overall shape of the car body are greatly affected by it.The dimensionaldeviation, the manufacturing deviation of the part itself, and the deviation caused by the fixture wear during the body assembly process are all caused by the welding deformation, which will interact with each other and ultimately create a comprehensive deviation of the body manufacturing. This shows that welding deformation has a great impact on the car body. After unremitting efforts, experts and scholars have finally discovered the mechanism and distribution of welding deformation, which is an effective basis for welding production. With the rapid development of globalization, the basis of the previous summary can no longer fully meet the needs of the modern body in the production, manufacturing, assembly and other needs. However, the explosive development of computers and the Internet, and numerical simulation technology have entered the field of vision of R&D scholars.Computers can handle complex welding situations without using test methods to verify welding deformations and save time and economic costs. In this context, this paper analyzes the thermal deformation of side spot welding of passenger cars and establishes a model. The main content is:(1)In this paper, the influence of welding deformation and the significance of welding deformation are firstly introduced. The thermal elasto-plastic theory for controlling welding deformation is emphatically introduced, and the thermal deformation of passenger car side spot welding is analyzed based on the thermoelastic-plastic theory.(2)Digital modeling of white body side panels, using software to create three-dimensional modeling of the side enclosure assembly, and welding grading of the side enclosure assembly.Divided into A pillar inner panel and front pillar inner panel,B pillar inner panel and upper side rail front side inner panel, upper side rail rear inner panel,C pillar inner panel,B pillar inner panel,The door sill beam inner plate, the rear wheel cover inner plate seven parts. The welding stress and deformation of the analysis components are finally determined to meet the requirements of the welding process, and the welding distortion is within the theoretical error range.(3)The welding process of seven parts such as the side wall was studied, and the corresponding results of temperature field, welding stress distribution and welding deformation were obtained.By comparing and analyzing the position and number of solder joints in the process of welding the inner plate of the B-pillar and the inner plate of the front side rail/the rear wheel cover, the most reasonable position and number of solder joints are obtained. The welding accuracy is further improved and the welding deformation is optimized.
