Ziziphus jujuba Mill.,the family of Rhamnaceae,a genus of Ziziphus Mill.,is mainly distributed in hebei,shanxi,shandong and shanxi provinces.Ziziphus Mill,is the most economically valuable genus in Rhamnaceae.The whole body of Jujube is treasure.Its fruit can treat the symptoms such as lack of spleen deficiency,loose stool,and women's restlessness,bark has the effect of heat,cool blood and hemostasis,Jujube root has the effect of blood circulation.For the study of the chemical constituents of jujube,most of them concentrate on the pulp,seeds and branches,and the root system is less studied.Therefore,the research on jujube root area has aroused more and more scholars' interest.We choose the roots of Ziziphus jujuba Mill.,which collected from Jiaxian of Shaanxi province as the research object in this research.The chemical investigation of this plant resulted in the isolation of 16 compounds by a variety of chromatography methods,such as silica gel,MCI CHP-20P,Sephadex LH-20,and the compounds structure were establish hed on the basis of spectroscopic data including TLC,HPLC,UV,NMR spectroscopy(13C?1H-NMR),physical and chemical properties.Including:ursonic acid?1?,ceanot henic acid?2?,eugenol-?-D-glucoside?3?,dihydrocharcone-4'-p-D-glucopy ranoside?4?,oleanolic acid?5?,3-oxo-oleanoic acid?6?,catechin?7?,ursolic acid?8?,betulinic acid?9?,zizyberanone?10?,zizybeoside ??11?,?-sitosterol?12?,stigmasterol?13?,daucosterol?14?,4-Hydroxybenzoic acid?15?,quercetin?16??To explore the profiles of six compounds in the root,a simple,accurate and rapid method was developed and validated using high-performance liquid chromatography with diodear ray detection?HPLC-DAD?for the quality analysis.The results showed that 4-hydroxybenz oic acid,catechin and dihydrocharcone-4'-?-D-glucopy ranoside were the major components in extracts and the average contents were 97.34?73.18 and 40.45 ?g/g,respectively.And the linear relationship of each compound is good.
