Pigment capsule printing is a simple ? energy saving and less water used operation.But there are still existence some defects,such as poor permeability and lack of smoothness,which is mainly caused by the sub-microcapsule wall of material-acrylate copolymer of “ heat-adhesive and cold brittleness ” and poor feeling.Meanwhile,its strong continuous film-forming property make the fabric were completely covered by coating and blocking the gap of fibers,which make the air permeability decreased.Therefore,wall of material-polyacrylate should be modified,The properties of Composite materials include both Polysiloxane and Polyacrylate when Polysiloxane were used to modified Polyacrylate.Firstly,the organic pigment copper phthalocyanine(PB)was used as function filler particles,methyl methacrylate(MMA),butyl acrylate(BA),vinyl two methyl siloxane(ViPDMS)as comonomers,12 sodium dodecyl sulfate(SDS)as surfactants,n-hexadecane(HD)as costabilizer,Potassium persulfate(KPS)as initiator,A series of P(DMS-Acr)/PB nanocapsules was prepared via miniemulsion polymerization.The effects of the factors such as SDS?HD?PB and ViPDMS on the particle size and morphology of pigment nanocapsules were investigated.It can be shows that ViPDMS and organic pigment will make the viscosity increased and the surface tension of the monomer decreased,With the increase of the content of ViPDMS and pigment,average particle size of pigments nanocapsules will increased obviously,particle size distribution become more wide and the stability of the system become worse.When the content of ViPDMS is less than 30%,the average particle size of nanocapsules is less than 200 nm,and the emulsion still stable.When the content of ViPDMS reaches 50%,the system turned unstable.ViPDMS that large molecular weight and PB will make the viscosity of monomer dispersions increased and their surface tension reduced.Therefore,with the increase of ViPDMS and PB content,the average particle size of the monomer sub droplets and the pigments nanocapsulesIV increased obviously,particle size distribution become more wide and the systemstability become worse.SDS is helpful to the monomer droplets separation and refinement and improves the stability of polymerization system,which can partially counteract the increase of particle size and the instability of the system caused by the addition of ViPDMS and PB.The costabilizer,HD,improve the stability of polymerization system,but the size of capsule reduced were not obviously.The content of MMA is related to the stability of nano-capsule emulsion.Higher content of MMA will help for the stability of emulsion.When the MMA/BA is 5:5,emulsion stability is better and the subsidence rate is less than 2%.Secondly,structure and properties of P(DMS-Acr)/PB films were also investigated.Through study the surface structure,cross-section structure and tensile properties of the films,phase separation of polysiloxane and polyacrylate in the films were discussed.Experiment result shows that the movement and accumulation of ViPDMS to the surface and the coarsening of the phase zone exist in the film phase separation.With the content of ViPDMS increased,surface of the films become more roughness,and films also become more hydrophobic.When the high molecular weight of ViPDMS were used,the extent of phase separation become more obviously.It can be concluded that the existence of organic pigments has a great influence on the phase separation in the films formation.Organic pigments will weaken the movement and accumulation of ViPDMS to the surface of films,thus,the phase separation of the films tend to be stable.Tensile properties of films showed that the greater degree of separation,the less of tensile strength,breaking strength and elongation at break.Finally,the P(DMS-Acr)/PB pigment nanocapsules was applied to the printing of polyester fabric coating,the properties of fabric were also investigated,such as the friction fastness,the K/S value,the stiffness and the permeability.It was found that with the content of ViPDMS increasing,the rigidity of printed fabric was similar to the original cloth,and the permeability also increased.However,the dry and wet friction fastness of the fabric became weaker,and the K/S value of the films was decreased due to the phase separation.The higher relative molecular weight of ViPDMS,the mastoid structure mainly formed on the surface of the film.When thecontent of silicon increased,the better permeability of the printed fabric,the dry and wet rubbing fastness and the softer hand feeling,but the K/S value will be reduced slightly.It is should be pointed that the introduction of high compliant silicone components into capsule wall materials can enhance the viscosity and flow splitting ability of the coating on the surface of the fabric during baking.The higher relative molecular weight of ViPDMS,freedom degree of the Si-O chain is more,it is easier to migrate to the surface of films and gather phase,and the surrounding polyacrylate is more easily leveled.The printing coating film is transformed from the continuous covering of the surface of the fabric to the independent package of the yarn and even the single fiber in the fabric.Through this paper study,influence of ViPDMS on the structure of organic pigment capsule and the forming mechanism was revealed.A series of pigment nanocapsules with good stability was designed and prepared.The fluidity and surface properties of pigment films was improved remarkably.Study on the structure of P(DMS-Acr)/PB films has been revealed the role of pigment at the process of phase separation.Based on this research,thin films for non continuous coating on the fabric surface and the thin overall coating of the single fiber and the directional and film attachment of the pigment to the fabric fiber were realized.The research results are of guiding significance for improving the coloring quality and wearability of pigment printing fabrics.
